What we collect when you read Everyday Terminal, and what we don't.

Last updated July 29, 2026

Short version

This is a static blog. We don't run accounts, newsletters, or comment forms on the site. We use Google Analytics to see which posts get traffic. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we are

Everyday Terminal is a tech blog ateverydayterminal.com. More about the site is on the About page.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement IDG-ESB4JZ3GNP). Google may collect things like:

  • Pages you view and roughly how long you stay
  • General location (country / region), browser, and device type
  • How you arrived (search, link, direct)
  • Identifiers Google uses for Analytics (including cookies or similar storage in your browser)

We use that to understand which posts help people and which don't. We don't use Analytics to build a named profile of you on this site, and we don't combine it with an Everyday Terminal account (there isn't one).

Google processes this data under its own terms. SeeGoogle's Privacy PolicyandGoogle Analytics data practices.

Cookies and similar tech

Analytics loads when you visit. That can set or read cookies (or local storage) used by Google Analytics. We don't run a separate marketing pixel or ad network on everydayterminal.com.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser, use tracking protection, or install an analytics blocker. The site still works without Analytics.

What we don't collect

  • No site logins or user accounts
  • No on-site comments, contact forms, or email signup
  • No payment processing on this domain

Server and CDN logs (we host on Cloudflare) may briefly include IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security. We don't use those logs to identify readers for marketing.

Outbound links

Posts link to official product sites and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own. We also link to ourFacebook page; Facebook's policies apply when you visit there.

Affiliates

We don't run an affiliate program right now. If that changes, posts with affiliate links will say so, and we'll update this page if those links affect tracking.

Kids

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle data (new analytics tool, newsletter, and so on), we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
